Permits & Environment Supervisor

 

Reporting to: Environmental Manager.

Purpose of the role:  

  • Ensure that all the projects are developed and built in compliance with local legislation
  • Develop and implement an Environmental & Permits Plan
  • Ensure and supervise compliance and follow up EIA commitments

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage permits plan for the company’s projects, including data base of permits (electrical, environmental, water, mining, municipal, health, road, communication, transport, explosives, etc., permits chronogram, budget, management of risks identified, organization (internal and external) required, description of the follow up process 
  • Preparation of technical, administrative and legal files needed to initiate the permitting process
  • Ensure the compliance of all requirements of the local regulations
  • Manage contracts with external consultants and legal advisors
  • Resolve doubts/observations from those involved in the preparation of the legal documents
  • Weekly & monthly status reports

 Education:

  • University degree in Environment Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other Engineering; Lawyer

 Practical Experience and qualifications:

  • 5-7  years of experience in environmental area
  • Environment Legislation
  • Experience in projects in remote areas
  • Fully bi-lingual English Spanish
