Internship 6-12 months - LONDON

Your department:

You will be part of a professional team that manages Europe’s largest wind portfolio and over 2,000 MW of flexible generation capacity in UK, Germany, Turkey, France, Belgium and Albania. We are an active trader in all physical short-term power and gas markets in the respective countries.

The team is in the centre of this operation and is responsible for IT Systems, Projects and Analysis. It currently runs several technology and business implementation projects.

Your role:

Your work will be in the centre of these activities and you will be given responsibility from day one. As part of the Project Management Office, you will

•               Be the main contact to the external customers

•               Support the project organisation regarding preparation of project status / meeting minutes

•               Support Project Manager/Department Manager in progress and KPI reports

Over the course of your assignment, you will become familiar with many aspects of the energy market, technology and the trading business. Since your work is at the heart of our business, you will always have expert support but we also expect you to work independently. There is always room for exploring new ideas and business and you will actively contribute to the further development and growth of Statkraft Markets, working closely with various departments in Germany, Norway, Albania, Turkey and the UK.

 Your profile:

  • Student of natural sciences, economics, engineering or computer science,
  • Experience with rollout projects
  • Very good scripting knowledge and experience in Python, Microsoft Excel VBA or similar
  • Team player with good communication and cooperation skills
  • Ability to summarize and solve problems in a fast and efficient way
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Fluency in English
