Operations Coordinator (m/f)

Your department:

The Operations/Logistics team is responsible for the scheduling and balancing of Statkraft’s physical energy position both gas and power in over 30 Continental European market areas. Through our contacts with transmission system operators (TSOs) and exchanges we developed profound knowledge of rules and regulations regarding scheduling. With our logistics software, we are supporting our front office developing and setting up new products or new markets. Furthermore, the team monitors critical data flows and provides first-hand support to the trading desks. We are also trading gas day ahead and within day on several European Gas Hubs. The Operations team members are working during normal office hours, as well as on weekends and public holidays. You will receive additional compensation for these shifts.

Your role:

  • Develop and maintain external interfaces to Exchanges, Capacity Offices and TSO’s with support of our existing logistics software
  • Develop and maintain applications to monitor the end-to-end data flows within the renewables value chain (e.g. metering and forecasting data)
  • Further develop and maintain systems and applications for balancing, capacity bidding, exchange bidding, scheduling and reporting procedures
  • Develop expert knowledge on gas and power transportation across Europe and contribute to the daily Operations tasks (shift work)
  • Schedule and optimize Statkraft’s physical gas and power positions

Your profile:

  • University degree, preferably in engineering, natural sciences, business or similar
  • Team player with strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills
  • Experience with programming languages, preferably Python or VBA
  • General IT-affinity
  • Proactive and independent way of working
  • Good communication skills as well as strong command of the English language (other languages, e.g. German, French, Spanish, Turkish are a plus)
