Manager-Business Development (FSS)

As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category-I Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India. The team of approximately 40 employees in New Delhi are a part of a larger Market Operations and IT division with about 650 employees globally.

Statkraft Markets India has entered into Forecasting and Scheduling of Renewal power and already have active business activities on pan India basis. Statkraft globally is giving such services in other part of world mainly in European markets and is one of leading player. Statkraft’s intends to increase its foot print in Forecasting and Scheduling of Renewal power in India also.


Your role:

As an Manager – Business Development (FSS) you will have explicit P&L responsibility and report to Head Portfolio Manager and Operations. You will be responsible to generate leads and conclude deals with Renewal Generators on Statkraft Markets service offerings on Forecasting and Scheduling. You will also be responsible to innovate and customise products and services that can be successfully delivered to Statkraft Markets’ target clients in order to meet its annual targets and revenue targets. Key accountabilities and expectations of your role also include:

  • Actively engage with Renewal Generator for providing Statkraft Services.            
  • Actively contribute to coordinate with other teams like Operations, Risk Management and Finance.  
  • Manage workflow including appropriate planning and prioritisation
  • To be accountable for the quality of delivery and results achieved by the FSS team.
  • Maintaining good relationship with Renewal Generators.
  • Ensure Statkraft Code of Conduct and Business Policies are followed closely and strictly
  • Adhering to the needs of proper documentation and reporting as per Company processes

Your profile:

  • University degree with 4-8 year of Experience.
  • Prior experience of more than 2 years in Indian Renewal Market is must.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the commercial aspects of the transaction, and identify workable solutions for risk mitigation
  • Have hand on experience on Contracts and contract negotiation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to gain understanding through listening, and to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Experience  in developing network and conclude value creating business
  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity, sound judgement and an honest and ethical approach
