Key Account Manager - Sales (m/f)

Your department:

Statkraft is Germany’s market leader in Germany in the direct sales support scheme. We do the forecasting, trading, balancing and billing for approximately 10,500 MW renewable installations from third parties. The “Sales & New Products” department has the commercial responsibility for handling an existing portfolio of roughly 1,500 contracts with renewable producers (wind, PV, biomass and hydropower). Furthermore, the department is in charge of the acquisition of new customers, leading all commercial negotiations with operators and financing banks as well as representing Statkraft at industry fairs and conferences.

Your role:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers (producers of renewable energy)
  • Analyse the value of energy produced from individual renewable assets and create offers for requests from existing and potential customers
  • Develop your own commercial leads and larger contacts
  • Generate new contacts at industry fairs and conferences, or simply via calling potential counterparties
  • Support your colleagues in administering various leads to make our business larger and more profitable

Your profile:

  • Academic degree (bachelor or master) in engineering, economics, natural sciences or similar
  • Several years of relevant work experience in the energy sector
  • Demonstrated sales experience and/or good understanding of direct sales business
  • Commercial mind-set, result-oriented and self-motivated team player
  • Fluent German and English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Passion for sales and reaching out to new contacts
  • Good IT skills, especially working with MS Office

The position is suitable for candidates with relevant work experience, however graduates are welcome to apply as well.
