Business Developer Market Access (m/f)

In Germany Statkraft has, since 1999, been an active trader of power, gas, renewable and emission certificates and a broad range of structured products. We are one of the leading players and service providers in managing distributed energy generation.

Your department:

Statkraft is Germany’s market leader in Germany in the direct sales support scheme. We do the forecasting, trading, balancing and billing for approximately 10,500 MW renewable installations from third parties. The “Sales & New Products” department has the commercial responsibility for handling an existing portfolio of roughly 1,500 contracts with renewable producers (wind, PV, biomass and hydropower). Furthermore, the department is in charge of the acquisition of new customers, leading all commercial negotiations with operators and financing banks as well as representing Statkraft at industry fairs and conferences.

Your role:

  • Seeking new business opportunities within the market access business of renewable energy
  • Pro-actively develop new commercial and technical concepts
  • Assess business concepts with respect to their strategic fit, profitability and implementation
  • Project management of implementation of concepts
  • Manage cooperation between various internal departments and external service providers
  • Follow-up and take advantage of regulatory changes in Germany and neighbouring markets
  • Represent Statkraftat conferences, fairs and networking events throughout Germany
  • Support your sales colleagues in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers (producers of renewable energy)

Your profile:

  • Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in engineering, economics, computer or natural sciences with very good results
  • Several years of relevant work experience in the energy sector
  • Excellent analytical understanding of power market drivers
  • Strong modelling and programming skills, especially in Python
  • Commercial mind-set, result-oriented and self-motivated team player
  • Fluent German and English communication skills (spoken and written)
