As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets in India is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category-I Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India. The team in New Delhi is a part of a larger Market Operations and IT division globally.
As a hydrologist in Statkraft your will work with the core of Statkraft’s business. Statkraft has more than 25 highly qualified hydrologists in operation in different geographical locations around the world. A Statkraft hydrologist is responsible for delivering hydrological short and long term forecasts for energy management purposes. We also conduct analyses for asset development and strategic planning. As a hydrologist in Statkraft you will work with hydrological models and scripts developed and in use by other hydrologists in Statkraft. Hydrological modelling is the most vital input into Statkraft’s Energy management process. Erroneous hydrological data or model results impacts the bottom line directly. Outstanding quality assurance is needed to keep Statkraft’s advantage in a strongly competitive market both physical and financial.
