Pricing & Market Analyst (m/f/d)

In Germany Statkraft has since 1999 been an active trader of power, gas, renewable and emission certificates and a broad range of structured products. We are one of the leading players and service providers in managing distributed energy generation. Our company is market leader in the “Direktvermarktung” (direct sales) support scheme and is growing its business in new markets in Europe, such as France and Turkey. We do the forecasting, trading, balancing and billing for more than 10,000 MW renewable installations from third parties.

Your department:

The department “Sales & New Products Germany” has the commercial responsibility for handling an existing portfolio with renewable producers (wind, PV, biomass and hydropower), the acquisition of new customers, being responsible for pricing and product marketing, leading all commercial negotiations with operators and financing banks and representation of Statkraft at industry fairs and conferences.

Your role: 

  • Deliver state-of-the-art pricing tools, in close cooperation with the different sales teams, for flexibility options and the market reference value
  • Develop market models and pricing strategies
  • Create dashboards, reports and visualization tools
  • Continuously improve and align our common modelling approaches across markets
  • Regularly perform and present ad-hoc analysis for senior management
  • Coordinate and stay on top of the analysis performed in other parts of Statkraft

Your profile:

  • University degree in engineering, natural sciences or business
  • Strong analytical skills and programming experience with Python is required
  • Commercial mind-set with good communicative skills
  • Team player with a proactive and independent working style
  • Experience in project management would be an advantage
  • Fluent in German and English, the ability to also communicate in either French or Turkish would be an advantage
