Architect Microsoft Infrastructure and Azure

As Architect Microsoft Infrastructure and Azure you are responsible for architecture and engineering of cloud and infrastructure services. The position work within a team of experienced senior IT architects responsible for IT services globally. You will participate in a wide range of initiatives improving how our employees can work smarter and more efficient utilizing new technologies. The team is part of a large IT organization with more than 150 employees delivering services to employees in 17 countries from own modern datacenters and public cloud.

Your role:

As architect for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Infrastructure services your main responsibility will be to deliver roadmaps, architecture, design and service implementation globally. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and future enhancements for services both in public and private cloud, evaluate how they create business value to Statkraft, and ensure that they are implemented in a way that improves agility, stability, security, collaboration and usability. The position covers following technology areas with focus on architecture and projects:

  • Microsoft Server and Microsoft Azure architecture, advisory work and management
  • Microsoft Infrastructure services like AD, DFS, DNS, DC, file-print etc.
  • SSO services and integration architecture with other IaaS, PaaS or SaaS services
  • Identity lifecycle management
  • Architecture for services delivered by sourcing partners
  • Introduction of new tools and features and ensure that they are implemented efficiently
  • Participation in development projects and digitalization initiatives
  • Drive the development especially of the Azure platform


Your profile:

We are seeking a senior profile with extensive experience from design, implementation and lifecycle management of Microsoft services in global organizations.

  • University degree and at least 5-10 years of experience within the described areas
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft infrastructure server and services architecture
  • Extensive experience and certifications on Microsoft Azure architecture
  • Expert and preferable certified on infrastructure services like AD, DCs, SSO, OpenDNS
  • Experience from lifecycle management of infrastructure services
  • Experience with Azure life cycle management and cost management
  • Deep knowledge on the Microsoft Office 365 platform
  • Deep knowledge on AWS
  • Self driven and structured, with good design and documentation skills. Delivers on time
  • Knowledge of ITIL process framework
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English

The position is located in Oslo. Some travelling must be expected.
