Statkraft’s Business Area (BA) Market Operations & IT is a major player in the European energy markets with decades of experience in providing it’s customers with PPAs and tailored risk mitigation solutions.

Statkraft’s new strategy implies a considerable growth of our customer business. As part of the BA Market Operations & IT, Nordic Origination is expected to contribute by increased sales and new business ideas. 

The Nordic Origination department has more than 30 employees located in Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm and Helsinki, and is responsible for a customer portfolio of more than 60 TWh in yearly sales and structured trading activities.

 The Nordic Industry team is a section within the Nordic Origination department. We are currently 8 persons in the team. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and experienced new colleague to join us;

Senior Originator

The role will report to Head of Nordic Industry and will be based in Oslo. 

As an originator in Statkraft you will be responsible for origination, B2B sales and developing tailor-made green PPA solutions for our industry partners.

Your role:

• To build and maintain strong and long-term relations with customers and business partners
• The main focus will be on the Norwegian industrial customers; however, you will also contribute and support across borders and segments
• Sales and key account management function for Statkraft’s energy products and services towards selected customers
• Identify, develop and implement new products and structured solutions in the Nordic market
• Close collaboration with other team members and across our organization to maximize value creation and streamline operations
• Secure clear and respectful communication across internal and external stakeholders

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in business, economics, law, engineering or equivalent
• Experience from sales and origination of energy products
• Very good negotiation skills and strong commercial mindset
• Strong user of IT-tools; familiar with relevant software types
• High motivation level, self-going and a structured, yet creative, approach
• Team player with excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian – other languages an advantage
