Statkraft is Europe's largest generator of renewable energy from hydro, wind, and solar power. Our aim is to become a leading developer of onshore wind and solar projects, taking on a significantly larger number of projects than before.

The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.

The Corporate R&D team is part of the New Business unit (EB) and manages and coordinates Statkraft’s R&D portfolio through 5 work packages and with about 70 on-going R&D projects. The team supports existing business as well as new initiatives across all technologies and markets where Statkraft participates. 

Your role:

  • Heading a unit of highly motivated and experienced R&D employees
  • Drive R&D management across Statkraft, ensuring impact on the bottom line
  • Contribute in R&D strategy development
  • Strengthen R&D efforts across functions, disciples and regions
  • Increase international R&D efforts
  • Explore public funding and advice and assist business areas in this field
  • Active contribution to joint external reserach activiites and the public debate
  • Communicate on R&D activities and results internally and externally

Your profile:

  • Master/university degree in business, economy, engineering or science
  • High knowledge and experience within R&D management, preferably within the energy sector, as well as drive and motivation to add value in this field
  • High business orientation and strategical skills
  • Excellent team-player with very good communication skills, enjoying collaboration across units
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian
