Statkraft has high ambitions for creating new business opportunities and unlocking performance improvement through integrated use of digital technologies and new ways of working. Statkraft IT is the Statkraft Group’s IT service provider. Statkraft IT’s role is both to push Statkraft to grasp digitalization opportunities and to support the different business areas in execution of ambitious digital roadmaps.
Working closely with the different business areas, Statkraft IT delivers a full set of services from business development, projects, application development, change management and operational services.
We are looking to fill 2 positions, one with a specific focus on the Trading and Origination and one with a focus on Finance and Risk within energy trading, in a newly established customer focused section within the MIM department (Market, software development & analytics).
You will be responsible for activities in the interface between the business and IT for a specific business area or a specific subject and have a key role in ensuring an excellent customer experience
You will work closely with the business areas, understanding their core business and processes, and bringing the resources of Statkraft IT to deliver solutions for business challenges and opportunities
Your responsibility includes seeing solutions across the different parts of Statkraft, to ensure the best solutions are implemented with contributions from key departments in IT, such as procurement, security, infrastructure and integration teams.
As an internal Business Developer in Statkraft IT, you will assist the business areas in defining and reaching goals and build on combined capabilities in the business and in IT
You will work on creating awareness and introducing digitalisation opportunities from new technology, and great user experiences
You will support the business in having digital roadmaps and to secure effective execution
You will be responsible for developing concrete initiatives from idea to execution
Be a team player collaborating closely with both the technology teams and business teams
Support in continuously strengthening our way of working and optimizing our processes
The positions are located either at the head office in Lilleaker, Oslo, Norway or in Düsseldorf, Germany, reporting to the Head of trading and M finance digitalisation partner. Some project related travel may be required.
We are looking for candidates who are high performing individuals with drive and a clear “can do” attitude.
The right candidate has a deep interest, motivation and experience in leading business critical IT and digitalisation activities. You acknowledge the importance of change management and are motivated by collaborating with skilled colleagues to reach ambitious goals. You would also have:
Higher relevant education at university level and minimum 5 years’ work experience
Strong communication skills and talent for building network and trusted relationships is a necessity. Ability to connect the dots between business needs and IT solutions and communicate with both end users on the business side and technology specialists in IT
Skilled process driver with mindset to plan and structure work to ensure high quality solutions with deliveries from many involved parties across different teams
Great interest and understanding for the opportunities enabled by digitalisation trends and technologies. E.g. cloud, data platforms, process automation, and user experiences.
Continuous improvement mindset and experience from improving and optimizing deliveries related to a product. Knowhow of agile, explorative and innovative techniques is appreciated
Great at making things happen, starting and moving cases with passion and drive, as well as corporate navigation skills
Work experience from consulting companies or similar roles in global industrial or energy companies are highly relevant, in particular experience from front office, middle office, back office in energy trading
Fluent in English and either Norwegian or German - verbal and written communication
