Senior Financial Advisor (IFRS)

The position is placed in the business area Production and Industrial Ownership which is responsible for operation and maintenance of all assets where Statkraft is the operator. The business area is optimizing the asset ownership for Statkraft’s European flexible assets together with the business area Market Operations and IT.

The responsibilities of the department Financial Reporting, Accounting & Tax within P Finance is responsible for financial reporting, forecast and analysis for the segment European Flexible Generation and Industrial Ownership and the legal entities included in the segment. We also provide accounting and tax support in relation to investment projects, transactions, and commercial contracts.

Your role:

  • Act as senior advisor in the business area within financial reporting and accounting
  • Actively contributing with relevant analyses of value drivers and drivers’ influence on financial performance
    • Reporting, control and analytical review of IFRS and forecasted figures to the Group
  • Drive process improvement and automatisation
  • Controlling of fair value-accounted derivative contracts
  • Provide accounting assessment and implementation support to energy contracts, investments and transactions within the business area
  • Follow up on accounting issues such as impairments and provisions

Your profile:

  • Relevant university degree in finance/audit
  • At least five years relevant experience
  • Interested in the hydro power industry and have a sound business understanding and curiosity
  • High competence in IFRS
  • Proactively taking initiatives for analyses and improvements
  • Good understanding and interest in digitalization
  • Analytical, accurate and structured
  • Very good communication skills in English and Norwegian
