Sustainable Energy Operations Engineer

If you’re a recent graduate with perhaps a few years of experience in onshore wind or solar Operations and Asset Management, then we want to hear from you. We have high ambitions for growth in our Operational Fleet of Wind and Solar Projects in Ireland and North West Europe; and need Engineers with some relevant experience but, more importantly, huge potential to join an established team working on our growing project pipeline to assist with the meeting of those ambitious targets.

Working in Operations and Asset Management

Whether you use your engineering skills to optimise our projects, increase output from our assets, or design tomorrow’s renewable energy solutions – you’ll be at the forefront of leading the shift to renewable energy. Work with some of the most advanced technologies. Face the most challenging engineering projects in the industry. Realise the potential of renewable energy and make a positive impact on our planet.

As an Operations Engineer, you’ll:

  • Support the Asset Management function within Statkraft Ireland which includes participation in the Operational Controller function (which includes on-call rotations), analysis of technical data from our wind assets and support on technical queries related to the wind-farm assets.
  • Be responsible for co-ordinating all project planning and environmental compliance activities to ISO14001
  • Support Preparation for Operations (PfO) take over function for new projects in Operation.
  • Co-ordinate client interface reporting and track meeting minute actions
  • Support customer monthly report preparation
  • Be responsible for CRU licence compliance activities for all projects

About you:

  • University degree within Engineering (e.g. mechanical, electrical, renewable energy, automation engineering, environmental) or relevant trade qualification & experience.
  • Previous experience of working in an Operations or Maintenance role in an energy related company is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills; problem solving and solution focused.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including report writing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform in and be challenged by a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative.

English language fluency is essential
