Working in the Finance Department:

Our modern Finance function is at the core of our business, helping to inform the major decisions that impact our projects and activities, and funding the world’s transition to a greener energy future. Our Finance employees are highly valued business partners with strategic and operational focus and are the catalyst for driving our business transformation.

As a Business Controller in the Northwest Europe Finance BP Team, you’ll:

  • Support the Senior Business Controller and Finance BP for Northwest Europe with a primary focus on the UK Project pipeline comprising of onshore wind, solar and grid services projects.
  • Manage our Joint Venture partners and operational asset reporting.
  • Track the evolution of the project pipeline, and assessing value creation from quarter to quarter which involves monthly reporting of project spend and activities to Project Managers, preparing project budgets and charters and decision gate (Financial Investment Decision) papers.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Quarterly internal Business Review packs for the EN Business Area- with special focus on the UK.
  • Close collaboration with other business controllers within the EN Region including geographies of Ireland, Norway and Sweden.
  • Gain a broad knowledge and understanding of E Financial Model, and ability to interpret data and report on same.
  • Provide ad hoc assistance to the Senior Business Controller on large M+A transactions.

About you:

We look for experienced Business Controllers with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.
  • University degree in accountancy, finance or similar.
  • Strong knowledge desired on applications including SAP, Share-point, MS Excel and other MS applications.
  • General Tax experience in the areas of CT, VAT, RCT, Employment taxes.

Experiences in these areas are also useful in your role:

  • Ability to adapt to other new software and systems.
  • Ability to manage a large workload often providing assistance across the team.

English language fluency is preferred.
