Working in Risk 

As part of our growth strategy, Statkraft is expanding its Origination activities across Europe. In the UK we have a portfolio of third-party contracts consisting of renewable generation Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), storage and flexibility optimisation PPAs, and sales contracts to large end customers.As part of Statkraft’s Risk Management team you will work on an independent assessment of Statkraft’s Origination portfolios in the UK.

This includes in particular:

• regularly reporting on P&L and risks of the origination portfolio
• staying up-to-date with energy market developments in the UK
• providing comprehensive risk evaluation of transactions and deal structures prior to deal closure
• runing your own risk analysis and improve our risk tool kit for renewable energy assets by means of Python

About you: 

We look for experienced Senior Risk Analyst with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:

• Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or Statistics
• Several years of professional work experience in market risk management, energy trading or structuring of renewables transactions, preferably from the UK energy markets
• Programming experience (e.g. Python, Matlab or R)
• Proactive team player with integrity and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and confident approach towards stakeholders
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
