As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category- 1 Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India. In India, Statkraft has presence in Delhi, Bangalore and Shimla with more than 150 employees working across various functions. The team of about 40 employees in Market Operations in Delhi are a part of a larger Market Operations and IT division with about 650 employees globally.

As a Consultant - Market Operations, you’ll report to Head of Operations and following tasks would be a part of your job profile:

• Daily operational activities such as bidding on power exchanges, generation schedule optimization, scheduling of bilateral transactions at the SLDC and SLDC, scheduling in Real Time market.
• Co-ordination with clients and resolution of customer issues and reporting of all transactions and generation of MIS and daily P&L reports.
• Taking up business development responsibilities for power sale and purchase contracts with state utilities and generators.
• Handling of operational activities in round the clock environment.
• Booking of open access by obtaining clearances from Discoms and SLDC’s, client on-boarding and registration on SLDC and power exchange,
• Energy certificates for invoicing, energy reconciliation and adjustment with Discom.
• Automations of process and developing in-house IT tools through python.

About you:

We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:

• B-Tech or MBA-Power management or both with 0-4 years prior experience in handling power exchange transaction and Renewables Power Scheduling in RLDC/SLDC.
• Flexible in 24*7 working (rotational)shift operations as per the business requirement.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Considering our presence in south India, fluency in Telugu shall be additional

advantage

• Knowledge of Python and advanced excel.
• Eagerness to learn and develop your own experience of best practices from the global operations of Statkraft.

Good to Have:

• Good understanding of prominent regulations related to short term open access and scheduling of power.
• Power/energy market exposure preferably in a Power Trading company, SLDC or Discom.
